A Year of Unpredictable Adventures and Transformations: Reflecting on 2023 - Personal Update

The year 2023 unfolded with twists and turns, offering a rollercoaster of experiences and opportunities for growth. From unexpected ski trips to political upheavals, Dror and I navigated through the highs and lows, creating memories and making life-altering decisions along the way.

Our year kicked off with a family ski adventure to Georgia that turned out to be snow-less. Stranded in a freezing mountain resort, we explored the unique side of the country, indulging in naked sulfur baths, spicy cha-cha shots, and the famous himchori and other Georgian delights. Despite the unconventional start, Georgia left a pleasant impression, and we look forward to returning during warmer months or snowier winters.

Celebrating our winter birthdays, Dror and I embarked on a journey to Wellville through a vegetarian cooking class. Throughout the year, we experimented with diverse cooking styles, capturing these moments in snapshots of our culinary explorations.

Marking our 20th anniversary milestone, we opted for a holiday in our own city, Tel Aviv. The weekend was spent exploring the wonders it had to offer, creating cherished memories that added another layer to our year of adventures.

From spontaneous trips to Switzerland, hiking in the Swiss Alps, to a cruise through five Greek islands, our travel experiences were diverse. Despite Dror's foot injury, our cruise proved to be a healing and rejuvenating escape, allowing us to meet new friends and visit family.

As the political scene in Israel took a tumultuous turn, Dror found himself protesting against government reforms at the onset of the year as the situation escalated, leading to a series of shocking events on October 7th. Faced with uncertainty and fear, we made the tough decision to return to the USA after the US Embassy offered assistance in escorting US citizens out of the area.

With the future uncertain, especially concerning our son Ethan's mandatory military service in Israel, Dror and I made significant life decisions that will allow us to be more flexible in our lifestyle and living arrangements. Exiting our careers in the  hi-tech world, we've each embarked on our own ventures.

Dror is launching a BETA course on "The Art of Eating" focusing on guiding individuals towards a healthier lifestyle. Simultaneously, my deep dive into astrology will become a full-time venture in 2025, aiming to inspire and enlighten those fascinated by the cosmic subject.

As we navigate through the uncertainties, we encourage everyone to embrace 2024, moving towards their true authentic selves.
